I've been offered head lifeguard at a pool in Tarrytown that's off Rt 119 (the route from my first post). I'm excited, because I'll be able to bike to work. It's a bit of a commute, about an hour both ways. I won't be losing any cycling time to my work schedule since riding will be built in to the whole package. Suh-weet!
School has been very demanding and my work schedule hasn't been that nice to me so unfortunately I haven't been hitting the pavement too much recently. The weather continues to warm up here, though, so I'm sure I'll find some patches of gorgeousness when I can hit the trails. Stay tuned for updates concerning my summer biking plans, from BikeNY to Central Jersey tours and who knows what else--I'm hoping to hit 1000 miles this summer.
On that note, I need to get a new bike. I'm pretty new to cycling (at least in the capacity that I am pursuing), so there's lots of options and little reliable information at my disposal. Any biking enthusiasts care to share some tips about buying new rides?
